PIN TO WIN THE #FAIRTUESDAY PINTEREST CONTEST

PIN TO WIN THE #FAIRTUESDAY PINTEREST CONTEST

What does your perfect ethical shopping spree look like? A box of ethically sourced tea from India with a side of chocolate from Madagascar?  A knit scarf from Peru and recycled stationery from Cambodia? Lots-a-Mata fair trade clothing and handmade jewelry?

Well, you could have that spree for free!  The companies behind Fair Tuesday (the ethical alternative to Black Friday) have teamed up to provide some amazing prize packages, and all you have to do to win is pin!

Pin away to show us your wish list of favorite ethically-produced items for a chance to win a full basket of fair goodies for the holidays, worth over $700.  What could be more exciting than that?  How about a panel of celebrity judges including Lauren Conrad, Hannah Skvarla, Haylie Duff, Rhea Alexander and our very own Maureen Dunn.  So Maureen maybe doesn’t have quite the celebrity status of the other judges, but she did make a skirt that’s been on two TV shows (here & here).  Regardless, nobody is as passionate about ethically-made products as Maureen, and she’s thrilled to be judging such a fun contest on such an esteemed panel.  They will select one grand prize winner and five runners-up on Fair Tuesday (December 3, 2013).

Pin away so we can see what your perfect ethical world looks like!

Here are the rules:

  1. Enter before November 27.
  2. Follow Fair Tuesday on Pinterest.
  3. Create a board called “Fair Holiday Gifts” & post a link to your board in the comments of this blog post.
  4. Fill your board with at least 15 pins of fair trade items. At least 5 of those pins must be from Fair Tuesday partners.
  5. Add the hashtag #FairTuesday to each pin, with a description of why the item would make a great gift or who it’s perfect for (your sister, teacher, grandpa, etc.).
