FALL 2013 TRENDS

The weather has finally snapped and it’s time to think Fall!   I try to love each of the four seasons equally, but Fall always seems to tug at my heart strings more than the others.  So let’s talk Fall 2013 Trends…

First up, florals.  It’s not always what you think of for Fall, but here they are anyway!  I love the mix of a light print with heavy tights and a chunky knit for a romantic look.  Or toughen it up with a leather jacket and boots for a 90s look.  Use Mata’s ‘Meet Me In The Meadow Dress’ to execute your look.

Secondly, midi skirts.  Such a ladylike style that used to be seen as a matronly, but I think this look can be totally sexy when styled correctly.  Use the ‘Saddleback Skirt’ or the ‘Tagalong Dress’ to get the looks.  I say, always do a heel with the midi skirt so it doesn’t cut off your leg.  I love how Theyskens’ Theory showed a midi skirt with a tall boot.  Sometimes, showing less skin can be sexy!

Next, let talk about color blocking, which is still going strong after a few seasons.  We’ve all dipped our toes in the color blocking water.  You can see Mata’s take on the trend with the ‘Half Moon Dress’  or the ‘Moonrise Dress’ .  Either color block with all black and white or choose all rich jewel tones:

Those are some top Fall trends for 2013 that Mata has shown in their line.  I love the looks, and can’t wait to try them out!  Fall is here…. Are you ready??
