Don’t know about the rest of the country, but here in Chicago it’s getting chilly. Time to start breaking out the fall layers – tights, jackets, and hats! Marisa, from Shades of Monet, has seriously savvy style, and she’s got the Summerfest dress ready to make the summer-to-fall transition.
In Marisa’s words, the houses print is “perfectly cute and quirky.” It’s also a little bit busy, so Marisa tones it down with neutral accessories and a dark blue blazer. Her mother’s belt and her grandmother’s bag add just the right touch of vintage. I think what really pulls it altogether for me is Marisa’s polka dot tights – subtle enough to complement, not compete with, the funky houses print.
“The cut of this dress is divine – gotta love a full skirt, yeah?” We think so, too! Full skirts accentuate your waistline, boosting those curves.
